You have the right to choose whom you want to see, so bring the Medicare provider number to your doctor.
If you don't know whom you want to see you can ask your doctor to recommend a clinician in your area.
You are welcome to contact me on 0468 466 445 if you have any questions.
Working together, you can expect....
To be treated with respect, kindness and patience.
Not to have to relive or share anything you do not want to.
Not be pushed or persuaded into something that you’re not ready for.
Be accepted to feel and think differently. My absolute attention and to feel safe.
If you've lost hope, I will have hope for you until you are ready – "There is always hope".
For me to facilitate the process rather than give advice or pretend to have the answers for you.
For you to take absolute responsibility for your health and wellbeing and the changes you want to see.
I believe you are the expert on yourself and the architect of your life!

You will experience a non-judgemental and person-centred approach that is trauma-informed and holistic.

Therapy approaches information
Tapping/EFT is a self-applied stress reduction technique using elements of cognitive therapy, with physical stimulation of acupuncture points. It is a somatic body-based therapy technique that can be used for but is not limited to depression, anxiety, pain, phobia, stress, processing trauma, PTSD, insomnia, craving, emotional regulation.

ART is an evidence-based eye movement therapy developed from EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) by Laney Rosenzweig in 2008. Using a standardized protocol that is directive, incorporates elements of bodily sensation processing, gestalt therapy, and the use of metaphors. ART can be used for but not limited to PTSD, depression, anxiety, phobias, obsessive-compulsive disorder, substance abuse, and chronic pain.

ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) is a therapy which combines mindfulness skills with the practice of self-acceptance. ACT focuses on accepting your thoughts and feelings and facing your problems head-on rather than avoiding your stressors. For more information - ACTMindfully Website

DBT (Dialectical Behavioural Therapy) is a modified version of CBT that includes the development of skills in emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness and interpersonal effectiveness and is often used in the treatment of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). For more information - DBT Website

CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) is a form of talking therapy which can be used to treat people with a wide range of mental health problems. CBT is based on the idea that how we think (cognition), feel (emotion) and act (behaviour) are connected and by changing the way you think, you can change the way you feel.

Experience counts
Have over 10 years of experience in mental health. Worked interstate and in QLD/Sunshine Coast for several nonprofit organisations. After completing the Bachelor’s of Social Work, I successfully secured a permanent position with QLD Health in Gympie Mental Health and Addiction Services, supporting people with complex mental illnesses and substance use.
Moved on when the opportunity came to work for the Royal Flying Doctor Service and in remote communities.
Provided psychological interventions for people experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, bullying, trauma and more.
About Me
Gun - When I introduce myself, it creates uncertainties, and then a smile.
I was born and raised in Sweden, but my heritage is Finnish.
Emigrated to Australia in 2008 with my husband and 2 children.
I am passionate about mental health and trauma-informed care.
I see myself as a facilitator, aiming to provide people with a positive experience within the therapeutic space, providing hope for change, and making a difference together where there are mental health difficulties, trauma, addiction, or just life struggles.
I see it as a privilege when people trust me with their stories.
I believe everybody has an inner wisdom of what they need to live a fulfilling life and maximize their potential.
My passion for mental health and trauma stems from my lived life experience of mental illness and suicide.
This is H, he may at time join us for a session if you are seeing me in Sunrise Beach, if that is something you choose. H loves people, will help you feel safe and comfortable and he loves being cuddled!
Walk and Talk on the beach, and/or practice Mindful Walking with or without H offered on request.
