About Me
Gun...my name tends to spark curiosity and a smile.

Born and raised in Sweden with Finnish roots, I made Australia home in 2008, along with my husband and our two sons. My true passion is in mental health, trauma-informed care, and the belief that both the mind and body have the ability to heal. I see myself as a guide, helping to create a safe and supportive space where healing and change can unfold.
I believe in the power of collaboration and wisdom we all carry within us. Whether you're navigating mental health challenges, trauma, addiction, or the struggles of everyday life, my goal is to help you discover hope and reconnect with your inner wisdom – the part of you that knows the path to a fulfilling and empowered life we all deserve.

Having personally experienced mental illness and suicide within my family, this work is deeply meaningful to me. I see it as a privilege if I get to hear your story and support your recovery journey to healing and emotional freedom.


My Experience
With over a decade of experience in mental health, I’ve had the privilege of working across both interstate and Queensland. After earning my Bachelor’s in Social Work, I took on a permanent role with Queensland Mental Health and Addiction Services in Gympie, where I supported individuals facing complex mental health conditions and substance use issues. Later, I joined the Royal Flying Doctor Service, delivering care to remote communities. Throughout my career, I’ve helped individuals manage anxiety, depression, insomnia, grief, trauma (PTSD & CPTSD), bullying, parenting, and many other challenges through psychological interventions.

Accredited Evidenced Based EFT Practitioner
EFT (emotional freedom techniques) is often referred to as the "fourth wave of therapy," this approach incorporates the body into the therapeutic process. In contrast, traditional therapies like CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) focus solely on the mind and cognition. A key aspect of tapping involves stimulating specific acupressure points with your fingertips, which assists in reducing both emotional and physical stress. This evidence-based technique can effectively address negative thoughts and sensations on a permanent basis.

By using therapeutic practices and psychological interventions that recognize the connection between mind and body, we create more opportunities to access pathways that lead to a greater sense of well-being and mental wellness.

This is H, my friendly companion who might join us for a session if you visit me in Sunrise Beach — only if that’s something you’re comfortable with. H adores people, and his gentle presence can help you feel safe and at ease. He also loves a good cuddle!
If you'd like, we can also take our sessions outdoors, offering a peaceful "Walk and Talk" on the beach, or practice Mindful Walking— either with H by our side or without — whatever feels right for you.
