Tapping on Pets? Oh Yes, It’s a Thing!

Got a jittery Jack Russell? A frazzled feline? Pets can suffer from anxiety just like us — thunderstorms, fireworks, vet visits, or (gasp!) the dreaded vacuum cleaner. And guess what? EFT tapping isn’t just for humans — you can use it for your furry friends too!

How? Two ways:

Surrogate Tapping: You tap on yourself while focusing on your pet’s stress. For example:"Even though Bella is scared of loud noises, she’s safe and we love her."Pets are super sensitive to your energy — as you calm down, so do they.

Gentle Tapping on Your Pet: If your pet enjoys touch, you can gently tap or stroke along calming points like behind the ears, under the chin, or on the chest — using soft fingers, not the typical human EFT tapping pressure. Speak in a soothing voice:"It’s okay, you’re safe. We’ve got this." Optional just focus on the acupoints along both sides of your pets spine.

You’ll be surprised how often tails start wagging, purrs return, or panting slows. Bonus: it helps your stress too — because let’s face it, an anxious pet can make you anxious!

So next time your pet’s nerves kick in, give tapping a go. You might just become their new favourite therapist. Let me know how you go!
