Tapping into Good Vibes with refugees and asylum seekers

Today was a feel-good kind of day! I was at Immanuel Lutheran College in Buderim with the Living in Australia Program, running an EFT/Tapping workshop for an inspiring group of refugees and asylum seekers. Tapping is such a powerful tool for stress relief and emotional balance—and it’s always a joy to share it!
Funny thing is, this all began a while back when I was volunteering as a lifesaver on the beach 🌊. That’s where I met Lesly, the program coordinator (and all-round legend!). She asked if I’d be up for running a one-hour tapping session for the participants. I said, “YES—absolutely, love to!” I couldn’t resist the chance to share this life-changing tool.
Fast forward a couple of years… and now it’s become a beautiful tradition! Twice a year—every April and September—I head back to deliver a couple of hours of tapping goodness. The feedback has been so heartwarming: I’ve received lovely thank-you cards and even hand-made messages. 💌
Volunteering is such a win-win. Research shows it boosts both physical and mental health, gives life more meaning, and honestly—it just feels good to give back. 💛
If you’ve ever thought about getting involved, the Buddies Living in Australia Program is always on the lookout for passionate volunteers and generous host families. Get in touch—they’d love to have you buddieslap1@gmail.com
